Now's the time we get to the good stuff. During the next two weeks, you will be trying your hand at various skills that will probably be presented to you on a Hiring Test.
I've tried to incorporate a bit of everything, from math, grammar, typing skills, personality quizzes, spelling and work schedule reading.
The main thing to remember is, these are just assessments of your skills as they stand right now. Your results are for your own benefit and information. Hopefully, you will gain some insight into your abilities and in turn, be able to jump right into the hiring test or know where you might need some brushing up.
Some Notes on This Week's Quizzes
Read a Work Schedule - You can look at each of the four sample schedules for as long as you want. When you are ready to try the activity, click on the Quizzes button on the bottom. Also, the blue Close button may not always work, so when you have completed this activity, click on your browser's back button to get back to Week 3.
The Read a Work Schedule comes to us courtesy of The Learning Edge, an interactive online newspaper for adult learners. It is created by the Wellington County Learning Center in Arthur, Ontario. Visit their website when you have a minute. There are lots of great activities there for your participation.
Typing Test - Just follow the instructions on the page to complete the typing test. At the bottom of the page, there is a link to "take regular breaks". You can read on if you would like, but this is not a requirement. When you have completed your typing test, click on your browser's back button to get back to Week 3.
Math Quiz - Try out the Hiring Test Math Quiz. Some of the questions may be difficult, but they are set up to give you an idea of what may be encountered in an actual Hiring Test.
